Snowball – a 12” Block

Even with the dozens of things you’re doing for the holidays, you should be able to whip up a few of these quick blocks!

COLORS:
Snowball: Our snowball centers will be red or green solid, or a red or green holiday print.
Corners: Our corners will be white. Please use a solid white or white on white, not cream, fabric.

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH BLOCK:
Cut a 12 ½” square.
Cut four 4 ½” squares.

BLOCK CONSTRUCTION:
Fold each of the 4 ½” squares in half diagonally. Place a square on any corner of the large square, right sides together, and sew along the fold line.

Trim the seam as shown at left to a 1/4" seam and press the triangle out to form the finished corner.
Do this 4 times and you have a finished Snowball block. Unfinished block should be 12 ½”. Sewn block will be 12”

Have a snowball with this block!
